There have been rumors that have been posted on twitter claiming that MLB and Rickwood Field are nearing a long-term deal to bring more professional games to Rickwood. This rumor is NOT true. We would certainly welcome more MLB games, but there is no deal being discussed.

On June 4, 2024, the Birmingham Barons will return to Rickwood Field for the 25th time in 1996 to take on the Rocket City Trash Pandas in a tribute to the Negro Leagues. We're looking forward to it!
