Gatwick is top of the table for official night flights and well ahead for flights at "anti-social times". Expansion will mean many more night flights for Kent, Surrey and Sussex residents. 🫨 Look at Bristol too. Disproportionate number of night flights.

Proof that Southampton's airport expansion has increased flight volumes Y-T-Y by 25%. Now where's the proof of the promised economic benefit? All it's done has; increased noise & emissions for 1m+ people, grown the tourist deficit (-£s), grown the import deficit (-£s).😠

Aircraft noise reality check. Flight arrives too early for Gatwick so is parked at 8000 feet for 40mins over East Sussex and Kent at 5:15am BST. Residents over a 90 sq. mile area would experience a continuous droning noise over a 30 minute period and see 4 flights. 1 of many.

Aircraft Noise and Emissions. Below are EZY74UD flights from/to Scotland in a SINGLE day (27-07-25). Surely the bulk of the flight path could be moved 2 miles offshore rather then overflying the mainland. There are hundreds of examples of this everyday. Ridiculous.

And here is another example of a flight over the UK @ 5:15am a few days ago. I know its high but the higher the flight is the further the sound wave travels in all directions, fact. Perhaps pilots still rely on church spires and fire beacons for guidance.

Luton Airport - aircraft noise watch. Below are the movements for a single plane on a single day. Fascinating to watch but really frustrating and annoying to live with day & night. It all starts with a simple departure or arrival and then cascades into misery for many.
