Yesterday, I did a day long boat trip in Trang visiting four islands including the highlight, Emerald Cave. The tour cost 950 baht (plus 200 baht for national park entrance). There were 80 people on the boat and I was the only Westerner. It was a great day but extremely hot.

Breakfast in Trang was at Kopi Sombat (โกปี๊สมบัติ). I had rice porridge, Chinese donuts, and dim sum. Oh and some very black and very strong hot coffee. Just over 100 baht for the lot.

I'm excited about riding these air-conditioned diesel railcars from Poipet Station on the Thai border to Phnom Penh. By the end of this year, there should be train services connecting Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, Vientiane, and Phnom Penh.

About 300 people braved the midday sweltering heat to attend the #AnzacDay service at Don Rak War Cemetery in Kanchanaburi, #Thailand to honor the fallen soldiers.

Though they may be gone, they will never be forgotten.

Rehearsals are taking place this week at Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre for the #AnzacDay Dawn Service on Thursday. Gates open at 3:00am and the service starts at 5:00am. I will be attending this one and then the one at the war cemetery in town.
