A great day for many Americans who have been stuck in student loan debt, sometimes for years, some who were cheated out of the education they were promised, not sure they would ever get any help. President Biden has delivered meaningful relief. Hip hip Hooray!

Republican officials are throwing up roadblocks in order to prevent middle-class families from getting the student debt relief they need. We are taking our case to the Supreme Court. Today, they announced that they'll hear it in February. We will keep fighting.

Here’s a # that merits attention: over the past 6 months, headline inflation has advanced at an annualized rate of only 1.8%. It seems the W.I.N. (Whip Inflation Now) is already here and we don’t need to overkill the economy by pushing on into a recession. Just let it play out!

Rich Cordray (@richcordray) 's Twitter Profile Photo

And the PCE came in today at a mild 2.2% annualized over the past six months, reinforcing the sizable decline in inflation almost to desired levels. Even without any further rate increases.

To be clear: 517,000 jobs added in January is GREAT NEWS for America. GREAT news for families. GREAT news for equity. GREAT news about the power of our economy to drive this country forward. So let’s not turn it into bad news somehow.

Sad and difficult situation with the shootings at my alma mater. We all need to pull together in the face of this enormous tragedy.

Hurts deeply to feel the pain at MSU - the bright faces of those young people, the innocent sense of safety on the campus I know so well. Unfathomable loss.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness is one of the best things the Congress has ever done. It puts America’s money where its mouth is in calling our young people to public service: “Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.”

Ohio struck a powerful blow today for democracy and fair play. The irony is that you can win very big and not get to 60%. That’s how the rule riggers wanted it to be but the People had other ideas - even in a crummy August election. Go Bucks!
