Panelists at the third session of the Access to Justice Symposium discuss Juvenile Justice. Significant amount of work has gone into Diversion, a separate dedicated criminal justice system aimed at protecting the best interest of children found in conflict with the law.

Day two at the Access to Justice Symposium started with a session on Law Clinics & Access to Justice. Clinics from universities such as Strathmore Law Clinic @CUEA_OFFICIAL & Discover JKUAT presented on their progress as well as the various successes and challenges experienced.

The 2nd session is now underway on Paralegals & Access to Justice. Representatives from @africanprisons are our panelists, giving their accounts and perspectives on our criminal justice system.

Session three of the symposium is currently ongoing. We are having a Roundtable discussion, hosted in partnership with Birkbeck College, University of London (Institute for Crime & Justice Policy Research). The topic of discussion is Pre-Trial Detention and its Over-use.
