Here's a preview of what Italian lip sync may look like in Rhubarb 2. Right now, it's only a proof of concept for the Italian fan dub project of Thimbleweed Park. It'll take me at least another year to make this a regular feature.

When you're using extended mouth shapes, "f"/"v" sounds have always looked good (left). With just the 6 basic mouth shapes, they used to look a bit off (middle). Now they look much better (right)! Now in Rhubarb 1.13.0.

Check out the kickstarter for a fully voiced version of The Will of Arthur Flabbington by Gugames, one of the masterminds behind the Italian fan dub of Thimbleweed Park! The game looks great and unless I'm mistaken, it's using Rhubarb for the lip sync. 😃

I'm working on Rhubarb again after a long pause. Having fun creating a simple character for an After Effects example project.
