I've seen a lot of cruel, mean-spiritied gov decisions covering #bcpoli (cutting bus passes for ppl with disabilities comes to mind) but I think the Charleigh Pollock case is right up there with the worst. The BC NDP is badly mistaken if it thinks the case will just go away. It's

“GoFundMe health care” sticks. And it’s the kind of label that brings down governments.

As VaughnPalmer reports, and I’ve also heard, some in the BC NDP caucus are growing increasingly worried at how badly this case has been handled, the inability to explain it, and stubbornly wrong judgment from the top in sticking to the decision.

I'm not sure if it's just antiquated thinking in the PMO, carelessness, or a purposeful attempt to turn back the clock, but it's starting to feel like the idea of the nation-to-nation relationship is on full on retreat in Ottawa.
