On Friday, 3 pairs of seniors travelled across to Shrewsbury for the Girls Open and the Boys Festival. Bobby + Archie and Rob + Zac made the Qtr Finals before bowing out, whilst Claudia and Celia won the Plate, a lovely way to cap off a great two terms worth of Fives

Congratulations to Matthew, Robbie and Rio on qualifying for and competing so successfully in the biggest event in the British Fencing junior calendar over the weekend. So good to see how far they have come in such a short space of time. Huge thanks to their coach, Sally. 🤺

Day one of the Nationals at Repton, very grateful for the support of the school and it's various teams to make the event possible. Repton players having a great time and learning loads by being stretched

Day two and 6 pairs competing valiantly in the Under 16s competition. Stars of the day have to be Bebe and Serena who made a Quarter Final as pair 3 from a tough draw, including one scarcely believable come from behind 12-11 win. Repton The Mitre should be v proud of these two

Return to school has been busy and great to have plenty of fives action so far. OR day brought a great start to term for our existing players and returning ORs

First trip out of the year saw Bri and Meghna excel in the EFA Individual girls event at Highgate. The girls produced some great fives and thanks to Gareth and the other schools for making the event possible

Thanks to the EFA and Howard for the U16 Individual Tournament yesterday. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed competing with and against some of the strongest players in their age group.

Great day at the Richard Black Cup. Plate won in placing 5th out of 8 teams. Brilliant to welcome Celia back in Repton colours. Some cracking performances and great debut by Grace. All performed with determination showing much improvement and crucially, enjoying it throughout

Great day of House Fives today. Girls in the am slot ended in 2 cracking semi-finals illustrating strength in depth and a tie in overall two-pair standings between Repton The Abbey and Repton Field House inseparable on ranking points, points difference AND points scored!

Boys in the pm slot - and it was tight at the top 3rd Repton New House , 2nd Repton The Priory and 1st Repton The Cross who won by one game with some great fives on display. Mr Wilson's Sunday specialists retaining the trophy.

Had a great day at Charterhouse today for the U16Q including Freddie T and Tom G winning the tournament! Final went to 3 sets against QEB (12-5, 13-14, 12-6). All the boys did brilliantly and were a credit to the school.

Great day for our fives players from O Block and L6th who came joint second in the Vargas Salver, a team competition hosted at Aldenham today

Cracking day out at the U16 Nationals at Shrewsbury. Our team all played well and with brilliant spirit. Tom and Fred reached the last 16, Alfie and Kyle had a great day in the Plate and Meghna and BeBe placed 3rd overall in the girls competition, our best ever at that level ....
