Today’s Bills & Bagels for our House District 63 and all of South Utah County was wonderful as 100+ people came together at 7:30 am to talk about legislative issues. Thank you to everyone for your involvement.

The leading cause of death amongst firefighters is not fire, its cancer. Collaboratively working with firefighters, we passed a bill that will create the most robust firefighter cancer program in the nation. Early detection is so important to protect those who protect us.

First Lady Abby Cox & Susan Adams (wife of Senate President Stuart Adams) recently invited the Legislative Spouses to join them for the annual SHOW UP for Service Event, focusing on State’s Homeless Shelters. My wife Roxane loved serving at the Pamela Atkinson Resource Center.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in tonight’s Miss Springville/Mapleton Competition and a big congrats to Roxy Packard for being crowned 2025 Miss Springville/Mapleton.

Thank you Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce for presenting me with the Education and Workforce legislative award. It is an absolute privilege to serve with the Chamber, advocate for our business community, and work with our education leaders locally and throughout the state.

Congratulations on opening the new Tabitha’s Way food pantry in Spanish Fork. Today the ribbon was cut to a beautiful new facility that will increase capacity by 76% to help meet the 30% increase in food assistance needed in 2025. This is all about neighbors helping neighbors.

I had the privilege of seeing firsthand the benefits of Meals on Wheels while helping deliver meals to many wonderful residents in Mapleton. Each day nearly 500 nutritious, warm meals are personally delivered to elderly folks in Utah County who live at home and need assistance.

Today’s groundbreaking for the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Vineyard was inspiring! Each year Utah County patients make over 40,000 trips to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in SLC. Now this new generational investment will provide a place of healing and hope right in Utah County.

Life is good especially when it is Farm Field Day. Thousands of 2nd graders from Nebo School District came to Harward Farms to learn about how our food is grown and harvested. Having grown up on a farm, I loved watching the kids in action with amazing FFA students.

Today I was honored to help break ground on the Provo Airport expansion to keep up with demand and increase convenience and connectivity for both leisure and business travel. This generational investment by the city, county, state legislature and FAA will double its capacity.

A big thank you to our local neighbors who serve as County Delegates & leadership within our House District 63. They serve and help our communities and state, and they spent Saturday at the Utah County Republican Convention. It was wonderful to be with you and to serve with you.

Mapleton’s annual Firefighters’ Pancake Breakfast was a hit! Our firefighter’s service to raise funds for local philanthropic efforts in our community make such a big difference. I’m grateful to live in this community that rallies to help each other and those in need.

Tonight’s 30th anniversary of Hope of America was spectacular. Celebrating the spirit of freedom by listening to thousands of fifth-grade students inspired everyone in the packed Marriott Center.

I was honored today to be presented the 2025 Friend of the Taxpayer Award for my voting record during the 2025 Legislative Session. Protecting Utahns from unnecessary tax hikes, government growth and wasteful spending are principles that strengthen our state’s foundation.

Congratulations to the 3,683 graduates of Mountainland Technical College (MTECH). Today’s celebration at the packed UCCU Center was inspiring! These talented and skilled graduates will fill high-demand, high paying careers in Utah.
