I spoke with Secretary Pete Buttigieg today in House Appropriations Democrats about the transformative investments we're making in Virginia passenger rail and transit thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

I'm also pleased to see new efforts to protect transit worker safety & rights in the workplace.

The Senate's misguided proposal to add new flights at DCA would jeopardize safety and cause even greater complications and delays at this already overcrowded airport.
 
I join my National Capital Region colleagues in opposing this change.

The maternal health crisis in our country disproportionately affects Black mothers, who are over 3x more likely to die in childbirth.
