Since I helped pass the IRA in 2022, this law has made life-saving medication more affordable for thousands of PA seniors, helped families save on their energy bills, and created good jobs in our community. I’ll never stop working to lower costs for hard-working PA families.

Today, I stopped by the annual Ukrainian Festival in Lehighton to celebrate PA-07’s vibrant Ukrainian community. It’s my honor to represent this community in Congress, where I will always work to provide Ukraine with the tools it needs to defend itself in Russia’s unprovoked war.

Recently, I stopped by the Crayola factory in Easton to tour their facility & chat with employees. Crayola’s work helps make all our lives more colorful, & they are yet another example of the incredible businesses based in the Greater Lehigh Valley that boost our local economy.

Happy Women’s Equality Day! Today, I’m joining the Democratic Women's Caucus to honor the 19th amendment, which granted women the right to vote. We carry the legacies of the brave women who fought for this right with us, and we pledge to continue fighting for women and girls every day.

Today with my Democratic Women's Caucus colleagues, I sent a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson calling for him to rework the #FarmBill. The current bill includes cuts to SNAP which will harm women and children the most. We need a farm bill that works for farmers AND families — let’s get to work.

61 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and over 200,000 people marched on Washington to call for an end to segregation and demand civil and economic rights for all. While we celebrate how far our nation has come, we continue the fight for equality.

Recently, I stopped by the @Cetroniafd to celebrate their 100th anniversary! For a century, these first responders have run into, not away from, danger to keep our community safe. I’m working in Congress every day to ensure they have the tools they need to stay safe on the job.

I’m heartbroken beyond words to hear of Hersh’s passing. I have met with his family several times this year, and they are in my thoughts. Hersh is one of many innocent victims of this violence who should still be with us today. May his memory be a blessing.

Happy Labor Day, PA-07! Today – and every day – I’m proud to stand arm-in-arm with labor leaders and workers throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley. I’ll keep fighting to protect your right to organize, because when our unions are strong, our community is strong.

Today, I toured Northampton Community College’s new Interdisciplinary Healthcare Education and Workforce Development Center. I’m so glad that we were able to secure federal funds for this center, which will help students hone their skills & better care for their future patients.

Today, I joined Mayor Hadzick & Trust for Public Land to visit our new Penn Haven project! I’m proud to have brought resources for this 5-mile trail back home to Carbon County & can’t wait to see it connect Weatherly with the Delaware & Lehigh trail and improve water quality throughout PA-07.

Yesterday, I joined feedingpa to discuss federal programs available to PA farmers & families. In the upcoming Farm Bill reauthorization, I will fight back against cuts to critical programs like SNAP, & work to ensure our farmers are compensated fairly for the goods they produce.

In April, my team worked with local students to send a care package to 1LT Bento (one of my former interns!) and the 4th Platoon during their deployment. This letter they sent back brightened my day, and I want to again thank the brave men and women who serve & defend our nation.

Yesterday, I spoke with participants of the St. Luke's University Health Network Nurse-Family Partnership program, which connects nurses to at-risk mothers in our community. It was so great to hear how this program is improving pregnancy outcomes and child development throughout PA-07.
