Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for family, friends, our troops and vets, first responders, public servants, and the privilege to serve NH in Congress.

Congratulations to Families in Transition on receiving this federal funding, which will help improve access to health care for many who are trying to exit homelessness. shea-porter.house.gov/media/press-re…

We have lost a dedicated public servant who loved his country and worked to make the world a better and safer place. President Bush’s long record of service to his country stretched across many decades, but two words describe it all: American Patriot. He will be missed.

It’s great to see the new Somersworth VA clinic moving forward! We promised and we owe our veterans high quality health care, and this new, much larger facility will help VAManchester better serve Seacoast veterans.

Thank you to the State Veterans Advisory Committee (SVAC) for all you do to help NH veterans! I enjoyed speaking at the monthly meeting last night. NH is grateful for your dedication to those who served and their families.

On #PearlHarborRemembranceDay, we honor all those who bravely fought in Honolulu and the 2,400 Americans who died protecting our country. We will never forget the sacrifice of all those who defended Hawaii, the Pacific Fleet, and the US 77 years ago today.

You can still sign up for health insurance at healthcare.gov! Most Granite Staters can find a plan for under $100 a month. If you have health insurance, you might find a better plan than you currently have. The deadline to enroll is December 15th.

Blue Water Navy veterans have earned & deserve these benefits. I am beyond disappointed that this bill, which passed the House 382-0, is being blocked by a few R Senators. Failure to enact this bill is a grave injustice & a betrayal to those who served. militarytimes.com/news/2018/12/1…

Six years ago, 20 elementary school children and six school employees were killed at Sandy Hook. Since that horrible day, we have endured far too many shootings. Congress needs to finally take action.

I am deeply grateful for Sec. Mattis’s decades of public service and for his dedication to our country and the safety of all Americans. His resignation is extremely concerning, and everyone should read his letter to the president.
