On Friday, I attended Kenneth Bartholomew's 88th birthday celebration. Kenneth is the former Wysox business owner of Rolling Acres and sold John Deere tractors and lawn equipment for 40 years. He was born on the family farm in Bangor. Happy birthday!

On Saturday, a butterfly release was held in memory of Roger Druck at Pine Cradle Lake Campground. Members of his family, including his wife, Cathy, and children, along with friends and campers, released 200 butterflies in memory of Roger. It was an honor to help remember him.

Cathy Druck and her late husband, Roger Druck, have owned and operated Pine Cradle Lake Campground since July 1995. They grew the business to 200 campsites. It was a pleasure to recently present a House proclamation to Cathy honoring the couple on their businesses.

It was an honor today to stand with members of the The Children's House Child Advocacy Center and the Abuse and Rape Crisis Center along with members of our community, for the Red Sand Project, a powerful national initiative to help raise awareness against Human Trafficking.

Last week, I attended the Triton Hose Company parade in Tunkhannock. Featured in the parade was a 1928 fire truck that is pictured, driven by Tunkhannock Fire Company President Chuck Sands and Jim Welch. Also pictured is Dick Witter and his 1955 Lincoln Continental!

On Saturday Roman-LeRay-Franklin Lodge 418 of the Masons held its first ever car show at the Rome Park. The theme was “All roads lead to Rome”. Over 60 participants took part, making a great day to see vintage and modified vehicles.

Last week, I was happy to author a House certificate for Pastor Rick Womer to congratulate him on 38 years of volunteering at The Embassy of Tunkhannock. Thank you for being a wonderful member of your community and having a positive impact on our area.

Earlier this week, I attended the Wyalusing Firemen's Parade. What a great turnout by the community. The parade’s theme was Under the Sea. There were a lot of very creative decorations. Thank you to all those who participated in this event.

I recently joined the House Republican Policy Committee in touring two cutting-edge lithium extraction facilities in Susquehanna County, followed by a roundtable discussion. We focused on positioning Pennsylvania as a leader in the production of critical minerals like lithium.

Last week, I joined members of our community in breaking ground at the future site of Henry Meadows, a senior housing development. The project is in response to the urgent need for affordable senior housing in Wyoming County. Construction is to begin immediately.

This past Sunday, I attended a quilt show at the Tuscarora Township building. There were many beautiful local family quilts on display. It was lovely to see the different varieties. Thank you for the invitation!

I recently spoke at a Pennsylvania Association of Municipal Administrators’ (PAMA) conference. It is important for state and local governments to collaborate, and I was happy to take part in a conference that does just that. Thank you for inviting me to speak at this event!

The Towanda Lions Club has awarded its 2025 Melvin Jones Fellowship to longtime member Bob Hugo, recognizing his outstanding commitment to community service and leadership within the organization. Hugo demonstrates the spirit of service and community. Congratulations!

The Wyoming County Fair's Veterans Ceremony was an opportunity to thank all veterans for their service. Their patriotism is shown with their loyalty and devotion to their country and willingness to serve and protect the freedoms we all enjoy. Thank you to all our veterans!

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day! On Monday, I participated in the 78th annual Labor Day Celebration parade in LeRaysville. There were many participants featured! Special thanks to Gene Beers for being my ride in his 1927 Ford.
