It was an honor to be with Electric Cities of Alabama today and receive the association’s Public Service Award. Utilities are catalysts for economic opportunity, and I appreciate all that our municipal providers do to power growth in our state!

The Southern Legislative Conference is off to a great start. This morning, we packaged 100,000 meals for those in need and donated thousands of dollars to the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. I’m proud to chair this organization & bring this conference to our great state!

Teresa and I are praying for Senator Shelby and his family as they mourn the loss of his wife, Dr. Annette Nevin Shelby. Dr. Shelby lived an incredible life, and I am grateful for all she did for the state of Alabama.

Rep. Matt Simpson has my full support. We passed this bill in the House last session and are prepared to do so again. Those who harm children have no place in our society.

It was an honor to visit the White House and meet with officials from President Trump’s administration. We discussed key issues facing our state and how Alabama can continue to lead in implementing the president’s agenda.

It was a pleasure to be in Decatur today for Launch Regional Partnership’s annual State of the Region Luncheon. The Tennessee Valley is a special place, and its continued success hinges upon leaders working across county and city lines to overcome North Alabama’s challenges.
