Last night was National Night Out in CA-31 and across the country. I dropped by 7 cities in my district to thank our local law enforcement for keeping our neighborhoods safe and building strong relationships throughout the community.

So many generations of Americans fought endlessly for the right to vote. Today, we celebrate the 60-year anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 being signed into law. We must keep our promise to democracy and continue to work to protect the right to vote.
