Grateful for Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park Park Ranger Allison Horrocks’ speech on the legacy of the workers who molded early America.

A strong public transportation system is essential to reducing traffic, lowering emissions, and supporting economic opportunity. Great meeting with the RI Transit Riders and GrowSmartRI to discuss my commitment to funding public transit.

My heart goes out to the family and loved ones of the 7 year-old girl who was senselessly shot last week and died yesterday in Providence. At the local, state, and federal level, we must do everything we can to prevent the deaths of innocent children from gun violence.

Toured @RMHCNE today as they celebrate their 35th anniversary. Ronald McDonald House’s work to support families during critical medical care is so important to Rhode Islanders, New Englanders, as well as people from around the country & the globe.

Today, I had my first meeting of our District Climate Policy Advisory Committee to discuss the deployment of the historic Inflation Reduction Act. As we experience the impacts of climate change in RI, it is critical that a wide range of stakeholders have a seat at the table.

Tonight, my thoughts are with the Apalachee High School community in Winder, Georgia. My prayers are with the families of those killed and the injured. But thoughts + prayers alone are not enough. We need to end senseless shootings & the toll of gun violence in our communities.

Thanks to this federal grant, Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) will be able to expand our state’s literacy efforts and ensure that no struggling student is left behind.
