Access to safe, clean water is essential to the health and well-being of our communities. Thanks to Dept. of Agriculture's Rural Development program, New Hampshire is receiving significant funding to upgrade wastewater systems and protect Granite Staters from harmful pollutants.

House Republicans have been ordered to shut down the government. And hurt the working class Americans they claim to support. You break the bipartisan agreement, you own the consequences that follow.

New Dems always negotiate in good faith, seek compromise without compromising our values, and stand by our word. We expect our counterparts to do the same. House Republicans broke their word, then tried to rely on Democrats to bail them out of a shutdown crisis they created.

New Dems just voted to save the American people from a preventable & harmful GOP-led government shutdown. We secured several New Dem priorities in the bill, including $100 billion in disaster relief, $10 billion in economic assistance for farmers & an extension of the Farm Bill.

While I’m relieved that Congress voted to keep the government open and working for hardworking families, this Republican-manufactured crisis was entirely preventable. Granite Staters and the American people expect and deserve better.
