In-custody death investigation: Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle at Coulon Beach Park around noon on Saturday. Two subjects, a male and a female, left the car, and entered the water to evade officers. Officers pulled the female from the water, and she has been detained.

UPDATE 4:20 PM: Officers determined there were three cars chasing each other on Hoquiam Ave. One of them appeared to have backfired several times. There was no evidence of a shooting, just the noise of the car backfiring. This was backed up by surveillance video.
