Tough 8-6 L tonight. Despite the loss, there’s some highlights and stats worth sharing...more to come in a bit. Need a big bounce back early Friday to give ourselves a shot at the top 7. Only 7 out of 22 get the chance to play for the title on Sunday.

One last hurrah this weekend for the ‘21/‘22 squad. 3 pool play games Thursday + Friday determine the top 8 that move to the quarters. We’ll post some season highlights and stats before the weekend play begins. Let’s win a bunch this weekend.

Last weekend’s all-star performance: Glenbard West HS ‘21 Sam Ford. 4 games. 6-for-8 (.750!) 2 R, 5 RBI, 2 BB for an .800 OBP. He also pitched a 5 inning complete game for the win with 0 ER and 6 K. Stud.

2-0-1 in pool play. Needed a huge outing from Metea Baseball ‘21 Harrison Brosius and he delivered. Complete game, 2 R (1 earned), 1 BB. With the pitching staff thin due to injury, this CG was giant and set us up for a run in bracket play.

Welp, not quite the run we hoped for in the last tourney of the year. Tough quarter final loss where the ball couldn’t quite bounce our way. Lots of season recaps and highlights to follow the next couple of days, so stay tuned

Player spotlight: OEHS Baseball ’21 CJ80J CJ Jensik is a power guy both at the plate and on the bump. He played a huge role on the mound, logging over 32 IP in 9 games and a 3.25 ERA and being a great run producer at the plate, 2nd on the team in RBI. youtu.be/p5GkYdJcCUg
