You aren’t powerless. If something needs to change then change it. Real talk, If it matters enough to you, you’ll find a way. This really hit me, “By not changing it you’ve chosen it.” Did this statement challenge anybody else like it did me?

Just like you wouldn’t ignore a flashing light on the instrument panel in your car, it’s important to attend to the signals our emotions are sending us. They’re trying to tell you something. Instead of ignoring it, explore it and find help for your pain.

I love leaders who spend time with their staff In the classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, after school events, etc. The better you know them, the better you will care for them.

Because we live in an imperfect, sinful world, all of us will experience brokenness. In fact, none of us get through childhood unscathed. Healing is a process that takes TIME, COURAGE, and SELF-DISCIPLINE. When we are persistent with going to Christ, we will discover freedom.

Where there is anger, there is always pain underneath.

The night is dark, but there is a glorious dawn coming.

The legacy of a great teacher is not built in their lesson plan book… but in their conversations with students. The lessons are important… but the relationships are essential.

Let’s make empathy and grace the starting place for hard conversations. This doesn’t mean we water down God’s Word. It exemplifies we understand it and are living His message out loud. Empathy and grace don’t discount truth. But unkindness surely does.

Effective leadership is hard work but its culture changing. Its more than managing. It is about helping your staff be their best. Developing their talents, leadership skills, & identifying their aspirations as a professional. This creates a committed team & a positive culture.
