A couple things I value more than anything else in my control are my health and fitness. They enable me to do the things I need & enjoy such as hiking & photography. Today’s breakfast of a homemade black bean burger, 2 eggs, cheese & salsa following a 51 min trail run. Protein!

The Colorado Avalanche organization joins the hockey community in mourning the loss of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.  Our deepest condolences to the Gaudreau family as well as all his friends, teammates and everyone in the hockey world affected by this tragedy.

Sold my first mixed media artwork (photography+encaustic) today entitled “cover crop, 2024” before it goes into a show in a few weeks. Like a painting, encaustic produces one-of-a-kind works through a hot wax application process. And paired with photos, it adds info to the story.

Lovely. Gives me some ideas.

Currently editing photos for a photo talk on water abstracts to a local camera club. Deciding which of these to include from a recent hike high in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
