I was amazed at the resilience of the very young girls who work in these theatres. From a feminist pov it is pretty impressive. However the risks & abuse they face is very disturbing.
The interviews were an eye opener for me.

Reham Khan Again you touched the issue which was ignored by our relevant authorities. Theatre is for families but in Pakistan or especially in Punjab families staying away from it because of its bad reputation. Vulgarity is on the peak from last many decades which needs to be addressed.

Reham Khan If u go to a theater(I did about 5 yrs ago in Lahore) the audience there is so rowdy, crude, nawar all over...filthy loud comments.. that was my last day...no one can dare take their family to such filth.

I go to explore why theatre is not a place for families anymore!
Theatre should be where art should flourish not where vulgarity is fostered.
We talk to the girls & the owners to understand what went wrong where.
