Last week, seven members of Regis’s faculty and staff traveled to Omaha for the Jesuit Schools Network’s Colloquium on Jesuit Education, a triennial meeting of Ignatian educators. More than 450 attendees listened to keynote presentations and took part in small-group discussions.

Yesterday, 140 REACH students traveled to the University of Scranton and 54 candidate students who just completed fifth grade headed to Fordham University, kicking off our 2025 REACH summer. After three weeks, all will return for three additional weeks of programming at Regis.

Yesterday, we welcomed students to 84th Street for the first day of our new Regis Summer Institute, a tuition-free summer enrichment program for curious and motivated rising 8th grade Catholic boys. The program offers intensive, two-week courses in engineering and debate.

A group of Regians traveled to Germany last month as part of our Berlin Exchange Program. Students took tours of the city, visited the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and memorial, went to the Jewish Museum Berlin, and saw Sanssouci Palace.

Students from Regis made two service trips to West Virginia this summer. In June, Regians traveled to Wheeling to help residents affected by devastating flooding. Then this month, students volunteered with West Virginia Ministry of Advocacy and Workcamps on construction projects.

A group of Regians traveled last month to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where they helped teach students at the Zotung Catholic Refugee Learning Centre. The Regis students also took part in day trips to Batu Caves, the Petronas Towers, and Dutch Square in Melaka.
