The Head of Operations ,Mr. Deo Bashokwire, welcomed Japanese parliamentarian M. Aisawa Ichiro, alongside a representative from the Ambassade du Japon au Cameroun 在カメルーン日本国大使館 M. Aoki. Together,they explored opportunities for strengthening UNHCR-Japan relations to enhance support for refugees.

UNHCR Cameroon’s Representative a.i joined the Regional Director for UNHCR West & Central Africa on a mission to Bouar and Baoro in CAR. Together, they met with local authorities and stakeholders to explore sustainable solutions for the socio-economic inclusion of returnees back in 🇨🇫

UNHCR Cameroon and Plan International Cameroon marked a successful Back to School campaign at the Yaoundé 5 Council! Running all through the month of August in the cities of Yaounde and Douala,the campaign has as goal to increase the rate of enrollment of refugee boys and girls in school by 5%.

<a href="/RefugeesCmr/">UNHCR Cameroon</a> and <a href="/PlanCameroon/">Plan International Cameroon</a> marked a successful Back to School campaign at the Yaoundé 5 Council! Through the Education Cannot Wait program, UNHCR Cameroon, the government and partners are paving a stronger educational landscape for #refugee children! With 53,561 kids enrolled, the 45% enrollment goal for refugees is close to being achieved. #BuildingFutures #InclusionEducation
