This special issue, edited by @SLachenicht, arose out of a seminar at Essen University on ‘Historicizing the Refugee Experience’ in Oct 2021 organised by the Atlantic Exiles (atlanticexiles.bsky.social) project. Looking forward to reading the contributions of fellow workshop members.
