Comets Softball take a 10-2 win over Streator. S.Moyers pitched with 7K’s and only allowed 6 Hits. K.Wilkey went 3 for 5 with 3 1B. C.Esparza went 3 for 5 with 2 1B & 1 2B. A.Syc went 2 for 3 with 2 2B. L.Grace went 2 for 4 with 2 1B.

Comets win 7-2 over Clifton Central. K.Klein had 3 K’s in 3 innings. S. Moyers had 8 K’s in 4 innings. M.Foote was 2 for 2 with 1 2B, 1 1B, & 1 RBI. A. Hartman was 2 for 4 with 1 3B, 1 1B, & 1 RBI. K. Wilkey was 2 for 4 with 1 2B & 1 1B. Way to go Comets!

Comets defeat Dwight 9-4. A.Steichen allowed only 3 H in 3 innings. A.Hartman was 4 for 4 with 1 3B, 2 2B, 1 1B, & 2 RBI’s. C.Esparza was 2 for 3 with 2 1B, 2 stolen bases, & 2 RBI’s. K.Wilkey was 2 for 4 with 2 1B. M.Foote hits a HR to score 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th.

Comets face a tough 0-11 loss against Manteno. L.Grace and A.Syc went 1 for 2 at the plate, each with a single. K.Wilkey went 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 singles. The Comets will face Manteno at home today @ 4:30.

Comets beat Woodland 17-1. S.Moyers had 5 K’s, allowed only 2 hits, and went 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 1B. A.Syc went 2 for 3 with 1 1B and a HR. A.Hartman went 1 for 2 with 1 1B. A.Steichen went 1 for 1 with 1 1B.

Comets had a 11-5 victory over Plano. C.Esparza went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 1 RBI. A.Hartman went 3 for 5 with 2 singles , 1 double, & 4 RBI’s. S.Moyers went 2 for 3 with 2 singles & 1 RBI. A.Syc went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles & 4 RBI’s.

The Comets lose a tough battle against Herscher, 2-3. S.Moyers pitched a great game with 7 K’s. K.Klein was 2 for 3 with 2 singles. A.Hartman was 1 for 3 with 1 double. K.Wilkey was 1 for 4 with 1 single. C.Esparza has 4 putouts in center to give the Comets a solid defense.

A perfect way to end a beautiful practice day—spending a little extra time together.☀️

Comets fall to Coal City 4-10. C.Esparza was 2 for 3 with 2 singles. M.Foote was 1 for 3 with 1 double. S.Moyers was 1 for 2 with 1 single. A.Steichen was 1 for 3 with 1 single.

The Comets will play our first regional game at Bishop McNamara High School- Monday, May 19th @ 4:30. Go Comets!
