Lakers 17u (Riebel) battled a tough REAL team and came away with another win, 68-60. Brayden Wilkerson (Northepointe) led the way with 18 pts. Carter VanManen (Jenison) 13 pts. Trey Johnson (Grandville) had 11 and Logan McKenzie (Byron Center) added 11.

Kenny Willekes is having his football jersey retired tonight by his alma mater GR NorthPointe Christian High School. Willekes, who went to MSU, is now on the Minnesota Vikings. I remember him as a JV basketball player. He was a wild man. Couldn't score, but he was scrappy.

Brayden Wilkerson Brayden Wilkerson is one of the best scorers I’ve ever coached. Averaging 23ppg shooting almost 40% from 3 on highly contested shots. Makes college baskets.

Brayden is only scratching the surface. Excited to see his continual improvement as he heads off to Cedarville.

When this project is completed at West Ottawa HS, the West Ottawa Football Panthers will play in the BEST HS stadium in Michigan. Period! If there is a nicer venue out there, I haven’t seen it. West Ottawa Public Schools okconference #Dakschools
