If your best player accepts coaching, wants you to coach him, doesn't run away from it, doesn't pout, doesn't cry, comes in the next day and he is as excited as he was the day before, it sets the tone for everyone else to fall inline and accept coaching. – Frank Martin
REMEMBER HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ATHLETES ESPECIALLY UNDERCLASSMEN.. AN “OFFER” IS JUST AN “OFFER!” THE COACH IS BASICALLY TELLING YOU “HEY WE REALLY LIKE YOU AND ARE GONNA CONTINUE TO RECRUIT YOU!” YOU STILL HAVE TO MEET NCAA REQUIREMENTS, PASS YOUR SAT & ACT! KEEP GRINDING 🏁
There is no substitute for hard work. If you're looking for the easy way, if you're looking for the trick, you might get by for a while, but you will not be developing the talents that lie within you. There is simply no substitute for work. – John Wooden
One of my favorite things about the offseason, is that players have the CHOICE to work & get better (or not).
You find out A LOT about their passion, and commitment to TEAM!
