Last week I participated in a peer to peer training American Red Cross @redcrossromania Bulgarian Red Cross Hungarian Red Cross IFRC and colleagues in Central & Eastern Europe saw the power of National Society development in action. I walked away inspired about what we can do together.

#DREFinAction The 2024 floods in Romania were caused by Storm Boris, which brought torrential rains on 14 September. More than 6,000 homes were either damaged or destroyed. This IFRC-DREF aims to support the Romanian Red Cross (Crucea Roșie Română) in providing critical humanitarian aid to 5,000 people.

This IFRC-DREF allocation will support Romanian Red Cross (Crucea Roșie Română) in providing assistance to 5,000 people affected by the recent floods, focusing on shelter, livelihoods, water, sanitation, and hygiene over a period of three months. Thank you to all IFRC-DREF donors!
