TxDOT said they had to bulldoze hundreds of trees at Oak Hill to make way for Oak Hill 'parkway.' It's still under construction and TxDOT has now set their sights on expanding 290 from Oak Hill to Dripping Springs.

Rethink35 - Stop I-35 expansion & demand better! Reconnect Austin Immediately after the public hearing regarding I-35, CAMPO board members heard a presentation from the TCEQ where they were told that we are *currently* out of compliance for particulate matter in the Austin region.

In case you thought this was a historical problem, here are cities where new or expanded urban freeways are planned or underway: Denver, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Shreveport, Orlando, Milwaukee, Duluth, Salt Lake City, NYC, Portland OR, Portland ME, Covington/Cincinnati, Phoenix.

I-35 widening in Austin has many of the same problems. NOx and ozone, VOCs, and particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) are missing from TxDOT's air quality analysis.

TxDOT is moving toward construction without data on these pollutants and how they will affect people living in ATX.
