Last year, we became the first waste and recycling company in North America to pilot a hydrogen fuel cell-powered electric refuse collection truck! We’re excited to continue advancing sustainable operations while we focus on making the best use of energy to get the job done.

Our historic Green DeMartini and White Truck were showered with love at #WasteExpo this week! These retired trucks—displayed alongside our recognizable Recology truck—highlight the remarkable progress we’ve made in waste collection.

In just 60 days, our Recology Organics team carefully cures, tests, and screens your green bin material as it transforms it into nutrient-rich compost. This high-quality soil amendment supports healthier crops by improving soil structure, fertility, and water retention!

This past week, 3 former Recology San Francisco artists—Rania Ho, Josh Short, and Karrie Hovey—collaborated on a live art installation crafted entirely from discarded materials collected at a downtown San Francisco conference and the Recology Public Reuse & Recycling Area.

The Recology team had an amazing time at the Carnaval San Francisco Grand Parade, the largest multi-cultural celebration on the West Coast! As always, our drill team brought the energy alongside Binny, Buddy, and our amazing employee-owners. See everyone at the celebration next year 🎊

Marcelino Ramirez’ work ethic and big heart are just two of the reasons we’re proud to spotlight him during #WWRW. In his 10 years, he has earned the respect and appreciation from his fellow employee-owners. He enjoys the crew he works with and helping them whenever needed.
