#YDL2023 has just started! Three days full of inspiring #presentations, insightful #discussions and fruitful workshops and #networking events are ahead of us! Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law Governance of Digital Practices

First half of Day 1 of #YDL2023 behind us, enriched by the presentations of Jan Horstmann, Ann-Kristin Mayrhofer, Moritz Griesel, Anna-Katharina Dhungel and a #keynote by prof. Edgar Weippl the use of #smart #contracts for minimising transaction costs of illegal activities.

We ended Day 1 of the #YDL2023 with a panel discussion on the topic "Power Circuits: intersections of #digital infrastructures and #constitutions," with excellent and thought-provoking contributions from Margarita Boenig-Liptsin, Kebene Wodajo, Raffaela Kunz and Angelo Golia!

Day 2 of the #YDL2023 has officially started with the #keynote by Prof. Iris Eisenberger who presented her views on the topic "Foundation Models, the #Individual, and #Democracy", with the focus on the question whether foundation models can bring the end of #pluralism.

We invite all parties interested in the #openscience topic to join the Public Roundtable, organised with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research! Date: 6 July, 18:00 Venue: Juridicum, DG, Schottenbastei 10-16

During Day 2 of the #YDL2023 we had a pleasure to listen to insightful presentations provided by Kinan Sabbagh, Suad Salihu, Rüya Tuna Toparlak, Yann Conti & Yann Schoenenberger, @rachel_grfn and Trisha Prabhu. Thank you for your contribution!

Today's afternoon at #YDL2023 brought us practical experience through 4 workshops hosted by Connor Hogan, Paola Lopez, Alexander Nussbaumer - @[email protected], Kai Erenli, Christian Gütl and Sebastian Schrittwieser. We would like to thank our guests for excellent sessions!

We started the last day of #YDL2023 with Barbara Prainsack (@[email protected]) and her keynote on "The bias of bias - The political economy of digital practices".

Day 3 of #YDL2023 was enriched with the inputs from Felicitas Rachinger, Fatma Doğan, Simona Stockreiter & Ondřej Woznica!

We closed #YDL2023 with #PanelDiscussion on "Exploring the Human-Technology Interface of Platform Liability: the DSA and DMA, and Bias in the Digital Age", and #ClosingRemarks from Dr. Gottfried Musger all at the #AustrianSupremeCourt!
