Our Board members Andi Pollinger and Lara Metcalf had a great time at the MassChallenge Showcase. Reboot Rx was in the MassChallenge Accelerator in 2019, where we met Andi, one of our mentors and now our Board Chair. We love supporting #Boston #startups !

Three of our team members found themselves in New York City at the same time and had the opportunity to meet up. As a remote organization, we always treasure our in-person time together. They wish everyone #HappyHolidays on behalf of the whole Reboot Rx team!
Yesterday was a special day as I returned to Dana-Farber to give a talk on our work at Reboot Rx. It was great to reconnect with past colleagues and wonderful to see Pradeep Mangalath at the place where our journey building Reboot Rx began. #cancer #research #nonprofit
I enjoyed speaking at the #ACSBrightEdgeSummit on a panel moderated by Bill Dahut, MD from American Cancer Society. Too many patients struggle to access #cancer treatments. Reboot Rx is working to mitigate #financialtoxicity and #healthinequities through generic #drugrepurposing .
Ketoconazole was repurposed for #prostatecancer after men treated for fungal infections experienced breast tissue enlargement. Understanding its mechanism of action later inspired the development of abiraterone, a new drug with a more favorable toxicity profile. #drugrepurposing
Thalidomide was once used to treat pregnancy-related morning sickness but was recalled due to causing birth defects. It made a groundbreaking comeback when it was repurposed for treating #multiplemyeloma as an immunomodulatory drug. #drugrepurposing Multiple Myeloma RF
The BCG vaccine for tuberculosis was repurposed for #bladdercancer following a serendipitous clinical observation. BCG reduces the risk of recurrence and progression in high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and was the first cancer #immunotherapy to be FDA-approved.
One of our top drug candidates for #prostatecancer is a very cheap generic. If it becomes the standard of care, it could prevent or delay prostate cancer progression for 70K patients each year and save $3B in the U.S. alone. #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth
Our AI tech found over 80 generic drugs tested for treating #prostatecancer . Through rigorous manual validation, we whittled it down to the drugs with the strongest evidence and are now determining a pathway to advance them into the standard of care. #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth
For our #prostatecancer project, we used our #AI tech to analyze data from 16K published studies and rank non-cancer generic drugs based on the totality of evidence. We found 80+ generics tested in at least one clinical study for prostate cancer. #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth
For #ProstateCancer AwarenessMonth , we are sharing why we chose to work on #ProstateCancer and our progress. It is a common cancer, many non-cancer generics have already been tested for prostate cancer, and oncologists and patients were eager to collaborate.
