Whatever your politics, this stuff is repulsive. The right to protest is crucial. But it is beyond perverse that some of the folks who lecture society about helping marginalized people are perpetuating or excusing this overt anti-Semitism. This should be so easy to reject.

You have created the coolest product in history.
You’ve revolutionized 5+ industries.
You’ve created god knows how many new industries.
You have benefited the lives of billions.

And yet your message to the world is constantly ’apologies for producing, here’s how
we are

'recent increases in the cost of borrowing pushing up the cost of building an offshore wind farm by 31 per cent'

Something of an issue if you've based claims of 'cheap renewables' on a presumption of forever high gas prices and forever cheap credit.

Today millions of Jews around the world will be celebrating Pesach. During the ‘Seder’ we tell the story of Jews being freed from slavery. Sadly, this year, many are not free. Tonight, we have reserved a seat at our table for hostage Noa Argamani and journalist Evan Gershkovich.

UK didn't need 'drill, baby, drill' so much as 'give property rights of what lies beneath to landowners, baby, give property rights of what lies beneath to landowners.'

This is self-identifying neoliberalism, summarized in a tweet.

It's just progressivism in the strict sense (zero moral presumption of liberty, default suspicion against individual self-direction, always leaping to improvement through technocracy) plus awareness of price theory.

Seeing policing in London more and to be honest I think this general attitude/behaviour among police is quite disturbing- the idea that policing is to 'preserve the peace' rather than protecting peoples' rights and enforcing the law.

The demographic challenges for the West are just as real as they are for the PRC. But the West has an asymmetric advantage: the world’s best & brightest want to move here—bringing their groundbreaking ideas with them.

The trillion dollar question is when do we double down on

A few problems with this “take”:

1. Economic logic that competition drives down profit and ability to indulge in discrimination is just fine.

But here requires heroic assumption antitrust as applied in this Administration is efficient and accurately identifies monopoly power

The two-tiered policing and double standards we’ve seen are a product of the UK’s ludicrous anti-speech and protest laws. Doubling down on restrictions makes this issue much worse.

I do sincerely believe the UK could/should adopt a (codified) constitutional right to freedom of assembly and free speech in the next 10 years.

I think it's probably inevitable, actually, as digital media makes demands for censorship proliferate.
