Husband, Dad, Boy Scout leader. I do nukes and missile defense at @Heritage. Think about China, Springsteen, and backpacking trips too much. Views are my own.

Sure. Because calling a President "stupid" and his decision "ridiculous" is a proven effective way to change policy, redirect a President, and stay employed by the time five o'clock rolls around.

No, which is why it would be done some place in the Pacific, as we did in the Cold War--as my paper explained. Again, I'm not advocating for testing or open air testing... but if you want to prevent above ground testing, we should at least have Nevada Test Site ready.

A lot of American think tankers are telling Asian political leaders what is/isn't in their nation's best interests these days...

Weird how The American Conservative continues to publish explicitly non-conservative positions on nukes, particularly so when they are written by people whose backgrounds suggest they are anything but conservative.

I fully support putting START I back in effect. Both sides can field 6,000 weapons AND we get mutual inspections and verification. Win-win.
