A simple question to ask is, How has the world of a child changed in the last 150 years?” And the answer is, “It’s hard to imagine any way in which it hasn’t changed! But if you look at school today versus 100 years ago, it is more similar than dissimilar. —Peter Senge

I cannot find a resource for the International School community, hope you can help me out. There is a person that compiles education research and summarizes it for email distribution. This is a subscription service. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

New study of student-teacher gender-matching in elem & middle school, 7 yrs of data, all students in state of Indiana. F teachers raise achievement more than males. Some gender matching in math for F. No evidence boys benefit from M teachers. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11…

Absolutely excellent resource for teachers and admin: how do the kids feel about the world? Global Citizenship? Great interactive site for the survey data: changingchildhood.unicef.org/stories

On an airplane, when you show signs of aggression, you can be denied passage. Why is that different in schools? #Crumbley was told to go home (and receive counseling) by school officials but the parents refused. Why are they allowed to refuse?

Thanks #AbbottElementary, as if the role of school administrator isn’t hard enough. I guess it can only be filled by buffoons.

So this came across my social media feed. My sister is a nurse, and am so glad that there is more respect for this calling due to COVID. I do wonder when this will be the advert for teachers?

Emotional volatility in teens: yes, hormones & whatever but consider new knowledge they must assimilate 1. I guess this is my face & body, forever 2. Fairness doesn't affect what happens 3. I know more than some adults 4. "Who I am" is actually not obvious It's a lot to process.

I judge people who don’t believe the Holocaust as in denial of the evidence. But reading #the1619Project I see the hypocrisy in me.
