The government seems ignorant to the reality of these extra costs.

Mel Stride today reduced these costs to 'a small number of relatively inexpensive adaptations'.

But this doesn't reflect the impact of extra costs on most disabled people. It's misleading and it's offensive.

Life costs more for disabled people, including people with mental health conditions.

Disabled people would need to receive an extra £975, on average, each month to have the same standard of living as non-disabled people.

The government is continuing its reckless assault on disabled people.

This consultation is not about what's right or fair.

It's hard to believe that it's about anything other than cutting costs, no matter the impact.
