Middlebury College OL Thomas Perry, a rare NESCAC player in the NFL Draft pool, is headed to Baltimore for a #Ravens rookie minicamp tryout, I’m told. The dream is still alive for Perry, who is trained by noted OL guru Duke Manyweather.

The NFL should revisit the fact that the 5th-year option values are the same for all offensive linemen, rather than broken down by position (C/G/T). Tyler Linderbaum is one of the best centers in the league, but a fifth-year option value of $23.4M would have been $5.4M more than

TBD - are they using a post-June 1 designation or not? If not, he will count $7.5M in dead $$ on the '25 cap ($445K more than presently counting), but if a post-June 1 designation, they will save $4.2M on the '25 Cap (after 6/1) but will carry $4.645M in dead $$ on the '26 Cap.

It's a decision of (1) taking all the dead money this year (costing them an additional $445K in Cap space) but w/ ZERO dead money pushed into 2026 or (2) using the post-6/1 designation & creating $4.2M in 2025, but also pushing $4.645M in dead money onto the 2026 Cap.

And, there it is. The Ravens had 1 of their 2 post-June 1 designations remaining (used first one on Marcus Williams). They clearly chose not to use the 2nd one on Michael Pierce due to the Tucker situation. Pierce's retirement will be transacted after 6/1.

There's no more gtd money left in Tucker's contract, so there's no future gtd money to void. There's nothing to get out of. The dead money that will hit this yr & next is for bonuses already paid to him & must now be accounted for on the Cap.

So, post-June 1, the Ravens will receive Cap space of: $2.1M for Williams $4.2M for Tucker $1.255M for Pierce’s retirement. Each of those will be offset by $960K for their Rule of 51 replacement, so the net Cap space received will be $4.675M.

The #Bengals reduce the final year of Stone’s original contract by $1.58M with the paycut. Stone didn’t play well last year. Absolutely. I’d really like to know what saving $1.58M will provide versus embarrassing the starting safety you’re depending upon with no alternative.

Former Ravens OLB Tyus Bowser withdrew his $4.5 million grievance against the team for how it handled his knee injury during 2023 season, according to team sources. The Ravens will get a $1.8 million salary cap credit.

Last April, Bowser filed a grievance over being placed on NFI & receiving none of his $4.5M salary in 2023. Under the CBA, 40% of the grievance amt immediately counted on Cap while the grievance was pending. Will now be removed.
