Yesterday we were at the 2nd Amiga Ruhrpott Convention. It was my 3rd Amiga event so far in 2024. ARC is a very small event, but that’s okay - it’s a social event above all. I’m glad I was there this time too. It was good to see old friends and get to know a few new people.

I’ll be at #Gamescom this week from Thursday to Saturday. My #cosplay lineup is still somewhat unclear. As always, classic Giana will be there. Bobbin Threadbare seems a likely choice too. I have a few more options in mind, including LeChuck or no costume. We’ll see! #retrogames

#gamescom2024 is over. As usual, we spent most of our time at the retro area. It was good to see old friends and meet some new people too. I wore 3 costumes: LeChuck, Bobbin Threadbare and Giana. Being LeChuck was the most fun. I’m looking forward to the next time! #retrogames

I’m currently choosing new Amiga #cosplay projects for next year’s events. One option would be to finish my 3rd Turrican suit. The photo is from 2022 and shows the current status of the project: roughly half the parts have already been built, although not painted yet. #retrogames

My 1st big costume project for 2025 will be an interpretation of The Machine from the #Turrican games. My main reference will be this picture from the intro of Turrican 2. The #cosplay will also be heavily inspired by the Borg from Star Trek: TNG. #Amiga #retrogames

In 2024 I visited 5 events: Amiga Ireland, AmiCamp, ARC, Flashback Symposium & Gamescom. I finished 1 new Amiga #cosplay, had photo shoots with 4, and started making 1. I have Gamescom and Amiga40 confirmed for 2025. I hope to go to other #Amiga events too. Happy New Year!

The Machine’s chest armour is now “practically done” too. I’ll likely add more small details later. Painting will be done when the whole armour has been crafted. The armour was inspired by the Borg and RoboCop. See if you can spot a reference to the latter. #retrogames #cosplay

Another armour piece for The Machine is now “practically done”. This time it’s the waist armour, or as I like to call it, the abs plate. It still needs to be primed and painted later, but the level of detail is already where I want it to be. #amiga #RETROGAMING #cosplay

I’ve finished building The Machine’s helmet. It consists of no less than 12 detachable parts. The design is based on Turrican 3 but has been thoroughly reinterpreted to suit the rest of the costume. The paint job and LED eyes will be added later. #Amiga #retrogames #cosplay

The Machine now has shoulder armour too. Their overall shape is based on the intro of Turrican 2, everything else is my interpretation. At this point I’ve built almost 1/3 of the costume parts, although the armour still needs to be painted. #Amiga #RETROGAMING #cosplay #Turrican

I’ve made 4 new parts for The Machine: the belt, crotch armour, hip armour, and left thigh armour. The first 3 are based on the reference from Turrican 2. I wanted some extra armour on the legs too to keep the look consistent throughout the costume. #Amiga #retrogames #cosplay
