The Reich lab study of increasing polygenic scores for schooling and income (the underlying trait is likely long-term orientation) since the advent of farming in Europe. Supports Galor and Ozak: long-term orientation was selected for in certain kinds of farming conditions.

Such fascinating work. I'd love to know to what extent this is due to the (Malthusian) evolutionary forces in Oded Galor and Omer Moav's work: when fertility increases with income, natural selection should favor traits that are complementary to the growth process.

Haven’t finished a book from cover to cover in a while. Loved this! I’ve always had this fascinating into why some countries prosper and others don’t. It’s all covered here: geography, genetic diversity, proliferation of tech, migrations, innovation. Oded Galor
