Lots of great Webb promotion in the U.K. media - well done everyone. Excited for launch but more excited for 6 months time when we get to do SCIENCE!

Really interesting first day of the Rubin project and community workshop here in Tucson. Great to see how all the elements of construction and development are coming together. #Rubin2022

Two exciting new postdoctoral positions advertised at the University of Southampton. One on the VISTA-4MOST and VLT-MOONS GTO AGN surveys. The second is to work on Herschel, ALMA and radio observations of high-z quasars and their host galaxies. jobregister.aas.org/ad/5f3adbff

Fantastic opportunity to work on the Vera C. Rubin Observatory just as it is getting ready to start taking pictures of the Universe. Please forward to anyone you think might be interested. jobs.soton.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?r…

Ah yes, I love my job working at the National Radio Astrology Observatory (that’s not photoshop- we got pranked by our summer students… I wonder how they got up there…)

It's been great to spend a few days in Charlottesville Virginia at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory discussing the active galactic nuclei science we can do with the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. Just a year and a half to go! web.cvent.com/event/fea1821d…

This #eRASS1 animation shows the #Xray sky as seen by #eROSITA. The X-ray bands are colour-coded according to their energy (red: 0.3-0.6 keV, green: 0.6-1 keV, blue: 1-2.3 keV). And a number of prominent sources have been highlighted. 4/9 CC: Jeremy Sanders/eROSITA consortium

The first eROSITA all sky data release is today! This is the largest ever catalogue of high energy cosmic sources. Congratulations to everyone at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics and elsewhere who contributed to this incredible data. mpe.mpg.de/7989698/news20…

Only 1⃣ day until the #CosmologySplash! This video by Ang Liu shows the large-scale structure in the nearby Universe revealed by #superclusters detected in the first eROSITA #AllSkySurvey #eRASS1, and how it looks if compared with the distribution of galaxies (grey dots).1/2
