April 30, 1981- After two months of fighting Nascar about rules changes, Ranier Racing brings a Buick Regal to Talladega for the Winston 500. Driver Bobby Allison puts it on the pole with a qualifying speed of 195.864 mph.



May 3, 1981- Despite losing a lap, Bobby Allison made up the lost ground when a caution fell while in front of leader Buddy Baker, allowing him to get back into contention in the Winston 500 at Talladega. Here his Ranier Racing crew makes a tire change and adds fuel.

May 9, 1981- Bobby Allison leads Richard and Kyle Petty in the early laps of the Melling Tool 420 at Nashville. The race was the final race for the Ranier Racing LeMans in 1981. Allison brought the car home third. The King was a lap down in fourth, and Kyle three down in seventh.








June 17, 1979- Buddy Baker completes another lap in the Gabriel 400 at Michigan. He's followed by Dale Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip, and Cale Yarborough. Baker's Ranier Racing Spectra Chevrolet was the dominant car, leading 121 of the 200 laps.
