Chicken Feet From Amy Seaden Jerome Adams I can post charts too. Look like measles went wayyyyy up when Trump was in office. I guess it was all his fault. That’s definitely how this works 🙄

Amy Seaden Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams If you want to look at a bigger timeframe, from 2020 to Q1 2024, here is where the CDC says imported measles cases are originating from.

Chicken Feet From Yadel Terefe Paul A. Szypula 🇺🇸 Collin Rugg Harvard University So can you show me examples of an under qualified person being hired to a position due to DEI practices.

To be clear, I want to see the alleged person, the criteria for their hire, and someone more qualified that wasn’t hired because of them.

Becca Peter Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams Columbus also had median age of 1, lrg proportion had coinfections incl RSV which could have been cause of hospitalization & larg number acquired from HC setting which could have meant children were already medically fragile.

Becca Peter Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams This could also be explained migrants being isolated in hospital. More v young & older being impacted by measles. Many previous measles outbreaks impacted certain pops, often segregated religious pops, who are less likely to seek out hospital care. nejm.org/doi/full/10.10….

Amy Seaden Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams Also look at my spreadsheet again. I’m not just comparing specific outbreaks.

The last link is ALL cases 2001 to 2016 and we can compare that to ALL cases 2020-Q1 2024.

Chicken Feet From Becca Peter Jerome Adams Because there was an outbreak of measles elsewhere & people aren’t getting vaccinated. Not surprising measles is showing up in many communities who do not vaccinate and sadly affecting those who could not vaccinate or with low titres who would have been protected by herd immunity

Becca Peter Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams The measles outbreak in the US didn’t start in 2024. This confirms what I have been saying. In NA majority of cases were not migrant related. If we eliminated the outbreak in 1 shelter it would be even lower. Southeast Asia other sources counties which may impact 🇨🇦 more.

Amy Seaden Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams The Columbus outbreak was in 2022-2023 and did not involve migrants and had a 42.4% hospitalization rate.

The 2020-Q1 2024 data could have only at most included 53 cases related to the Chicago outbreak (and we know not all of these cases were migrants), out of 338 total cases.

Becca Peter Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams If you look at data from 2020-2023 you’re looking at only 230ish cases. Such a small sample size when public health was busy with covid and people were mainly at home avoiding MDs so full data was unlikely to be captured except for cases that required hospitalizations.

Becca Peter Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams Minnesota outbreak 2017 was mostly limited to the Somali pop who may lack HC insurance, lack awareness about HC in US, may not trust US HC/gvt & turn to community for treatment, is a very insular, etc. All these socioeconomic factors could explain lower hospitalization rates

Amy Seaden Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams Prior to this year we rarely saw measles in migrants. Many countries south of us have better vaccination rates than we do.

This year we saw measles in migrants from Venezuela because they couldn’t get vaccinated back home and were denied healthcare here.

Amy Seaden Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams Migrants are being isolated in hotels if they are healthy and we saw the same hospitalization rate with the Columbus measles outbreak which did not involve migrants. And migrant cases are not a big percentage of the CDC 2020-Q1 2024 measles.

Becca Peter Chicken Feet From Jerome Adams They did bring measles with them along with TB, chicken pox, etc. Some states are doing a better job inoculating on arrival & screening for communicable diseases than others. Think u need to go to local hospitals who are having to write off the costs of new arrivals using HC.
