Not surprising measles is showing up in many communities who do not vaccinate and sadly affecting those who could not vaccinate or with low titres who would have been protected by herd immunity

The 2020-Q1 2024 data could have only at most included 53 cases related to the Chicago outbreak (and we know not all of these cases were migrants), out of 338 total cases.

Such a small sample size when public health was busy with covid and people were mainly at home avoiding MDs so full data was unlikely to be captured except for cases that required hospitalizations.

This year we saw measles in migrants from Venezuela because they couldn’t get vaccinated back home and were denied healthcare here.

Think u need to go to local hospitals who are having to write off the costs of new arrivals using HC.
