Said provider canceled the appt, but then refused to refill her anti-depressant that she’s been on for years, and is now in withdrawal, which is miserable.

Makes me wonder what the utility and purpose of the USMLEs and IM and Cardiology boards are? Esp if you can get a FACC and put in TAVRs without doing it…🤔 why did I have to pass my cardiology boards to get my FACC and others don’t ?

I don't think I really fully appreciated how much it means to patients when you have the same type of disease that you're treating them for until the past few months when I've been saying goodbye to my patients. I'm so privileged to be able to work with them 🥹
