Iran retaliation against the US base in Qatar is still a big escalation by Iran even if the base was emptied and the attack communicated in advance. The motive behind the attack is political deterrence, not meant to cause material damage.

This American and Israeli war that was initiated to topple the Iranian regime is a failure if it ends before accomplishing its goals.

The only way for the US and Israel to end the war on Iran is when the cost of toppling the regime is too costly for them to handle. While they planned for a total regime change, Iran resilience and missiles were devastating for Israel to deal with.

Electoral politics and fighting AIPAC isn't our battle to win, that's a distraction. The root cause of all issues is American racism, capitalism, and imperialism. You can't defeat an empire by using the tools it created to preserve itself against radical change.
