The Mon December 9 work meet to fix the track will go ahead on December 9. Meet at our car park 8:30-9am as usual. We'll be spreading roadstone and ditch clearing. If you have them, bring shovel, trug, wheelbarrow, stout gloves, hard hat and high vis jacket.

Huge thanks to the 25 or so club members and hostel folk who helped spread stone on the Greenside bridleway and clear the ditch today. 30 tonnes later and we're done with that job for the year. Tow and track ready to go!

Evening All. The tow will run tomorrow, but for members only, as we expect to be busy after the Border TV publicity. The track up to our car park is sheet ice. Don't attempt without winter tyres at least. If in doubt, park in Glenridding and hitch or walk up.

The tow will run tomorrow (Thurs) from around 11am. Weather is forecast to be sunny after early mist and winds light, so a grand day out in prospect... Spikes for the walk up would be worth packing. Non-members please park in Glenridding and walk or hitch a lift up.

Sadly the snow predicted for last night either didn't hit our slopes or fell as rain. It's also forecast to be foggy so the tow will not run tomorrow. Sunday doesn't look good either. Sorry folks!

𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 - 𝟮/𝟯 𝗔𝘂𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 We're planning a workmeet at the tow for the weekend 2/3 August, date tbc. The top bullwheel needs some TLC and there'll be snow fence, landslip consolidation and painting work to be done. All welcome - more nearer the time.

Hi All. We're going for a work meet this Sunday. Meet at the car park at 9:30 or make your own way up. Nothing to carry. It's mostly finishing the fencing and, if time allows, regreasing and reattaching pomas to the tow cable. All welcome!

Morning! We're having a joint work meet on the track up to the mines with the hostels this Wednesday (12th Nov). Mainly ditch clearing. All welcome, meet at our car park from 9:30am. If you have them, please bring gloves , loppers, barrow and high-vis bib/jacket.

Despite snow everywhere else, the webcam only showed a dusting on the slopes today, although more is predicted this evening. In the unlikely event we can run tomorrow we'll post after the first pic at 8am tomorrow🤞. Please note that Kirkstone is closed.
