Tonight, as part of Celtic Connections, there will be a special tribute concert to the late John Maclean (1879-1923) - Russia's Bolshevik representative in Scotland, and the man Whitehall dubbed 'the most dangerous man in Britain'.

What a phenomenal night celebrating the life and work of John Maclean with some incredible performances and surprise appearance from none other than Dick Gaughan!! Well done to Siobhan Miller & Henry Bell for pulling it off! ✊🏼❤️

The red clydeside John Maclean centenary concert was stunning. Beautiful, powerful poems and songs. Dick Gaughan making a surprise appearance was unbelievably special. Folk music at its absolute finest. I’ll be thinking about that concert for a long time.
