5-YEAR PANCREATIC CANCER SURVIVAL RATE REACHES 12%
The AmericanCancerSociety reported that the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is now 12%, an increase of one percentage point from last year. What a milestone!

One of the least helpful things you can say to someone with stage 4 cancer is 'you will beat it'
No we won't, we will die from it. I know people mean well when they say it. It just reminds us we are fighting a losing battle.

I’m stuck between “should I make a 5 year plan?” and “what if the cancer comes back and I’ll die in 5 months?”

2 years ago today we were told the agonising news that Charlottes cancer had spread she had weeks to live 😭 my whole universe collapsed around me never ever felt pain like it…your baby girl is going to die 💔 feels like yesterday #foreverheartbroken #BowelCancerAwarenessMonth

Great session on #patientstories but has got me thinking how do we create time for those delivering care to hear these stories, not just board level.
