GenScript iGEM Headquarters TB is the 9th leading cause of deaths all across the world. We aim to develop a cheap, efficient & accessible system for early diagnosis of MDR-TB before it becomes severe or fatal, helping India become TB free by 2025! What about you? This is the first-ever Ph.D. thesis submission at IISER Berhampur. Congratulations to Purbasha Dasgupta Bodhisatta Nandy. Her thesis is on female reproductive adaptation under dietary challenges such as chronic protein deprivation.
Very excited to share the first preprint of the Beetle work in the lab by SUPPORTER OF RASTRIYA SWATANTRA PARTY. Very interesting mating behaviour in Parthenium beetle. Rabi looks at extraordinary long mating, copulatory courtship, and repeated short compilations - biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…
The final piece of my PhD is out. I am grateful to Tobi and @RolfsMicrobes for seeing this through. We found that phenotypic heterogeneity is driven by spatial and genealogical components, and siderophore sharing influences fitness of cell lineages. Honoured and grateful to IGNITE LIFE SCIENCE FOUNDATION for the travel grant to attend the #Evolution2024 congress in Montreal. Looking forward to an exciting conference!
Excited to share the second manuscript from Subhasish Halder’s PhD thesis. Lot of hard work went into this. Very interesting results on condition dependent sex-biased spontaneous inter-patch dispersal. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Please repost. A reminder that early bird registration for #ISBE2024 closes this Friday 28 June at 11:59pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. More information at isbe2024.com Behavioral Ecology
Excited to share New paper from the lab. Subhasish Halder’s work on spontaneous dispersal tendency of fruit flies shown to depend on nutritional and density context in a sex specific manner. nsojournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/oi…. Thanks IISER Berhampur for support.
Glad to announce the 6th Annual conference of EvolutionIndia to be hosted at IISER Berhampur later this year. Abstract submission starts today. More details to follow. Spread the word #iiseb6 #EvolutionIndia
