It’s fantastic to see so many smiling faces today! Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students; you’ve all worked really hard and achieved so much. We’re so proud of you all.

Our new Year 7 students are settling in well. Everyone looked really smart, and behaviour has been excellent. We hope you’re all looking forward to your journeys with us and we can’t wait to get to know you all.

Our library opening times are currently 8:00am - 14:00pm until further notice.

We are currently trying to acquire 300 USB type-A cables to be used for a Technology project. If you have any old cables lying around collecting dust it would be great if students could bring them into Mr Jefferson on the Technology corridor.

Our school Art Clubs have started up again. Whatever your level, whatever your style, come along and get creative in the Art Department.

Save the date! Our Open Evening for Year 6 students and their parents will be taking place Thursday 12 October from 6pm - 8:30pm. Come along and see how at Ryburn we encourage our students to dream big and create the future they want to see. We can't wait to see you there.

Well done to all of the primary students who participated in the Cross Country Competition here with us yesterday. You all did so well, and your teachers should be really proud. Thank you to Mr Duffy for coordinating the event, and our Ryburn students who gave a helping hand.

Thank you very much to Gemma Redford for coming in and talking to our students about the amazing work done by Forget Me Not Children's Hospice and how a career in the charity sector can be incredibly fulfilling.

We're so glad that everyone enjoyed our Open Evening. Our Head Student, Grace, was going around the event, speaking to guests and staff for our Feedback Shack.

There were some interesting hairstyles in STEM Club this week as our students got their hands on the Van de Graaff generator.

Thank you to Matt from LLS for coming in and speaking to our Year 11 students about careers in sports. They have a range of courses that cover coaching to physiotherapy. Their students have opportunities to study abroad.

Our wonderful library is now open until 16:00pm every day 📚. We've got books, graphic novels and even board games. Come along and discover your new favourite book.

For the month of October, students have been taking part in The Big Quit to raise money for Happy Days Charity, supporting people in crisis. Students have been sponsored to give up something they enjoy for an entire week. Here are some of the things students have chosen to quit.

The school library will be hosting its Scholastic Book Fair from Tuesday 7 - Monday 13 November. This will take place every lunchtime and students can purchase new books from an exciting array of titles with a discount of £1 (cash only).

Our Maths and English Departments are holding revision sessions every Monday and Tuesday after school for Year 11 students to help prepare them for their exams. Mondays are Maths and Tuesdays are English. All sessions are from 15:00 - 15:50 and take place in subject departments.

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded the Platinum Artsmark for the third time! This is the highest level of awards given by Arts Council England in recognition of schools’ commitment to the Arts and Culture. We are incredibly proud of our Creative Arts Team.

Our first lot of Educake Amazon voucher winners received their prizes this morning. Congratulations to Amelie, James, Toby and Hannah. There are still vouchers up for grabs each half-term, so keep up the good work Year 11 to be in with a chance to win ⚗️.
